Zirconia-Toughened Alumina (ZTA) wear-resistant ceramics are composed of alumina and zirconia, combining the high hardness of alumina with the high toughness of zirconia. Through microcrystalline strengthening and dispersion toughening mechanisms, the material significantly improves impact resistance while maintaining excellent wear performance. ZTA ceramics achieve a Rockwell hardness of HRA 90 or above and a wear volume of less than 0.01 cm³, maintaining stable abrasion resistance under demanding conditions such as high speed and high pressure.
The mining, mineral processing and bulk materials handling industries face severe abrasive wear and impact loads from ore particles on processing equipment. Critical components including chutes, hoppers, transfer points, cyclones and pipe elbows demand wear lining materials with both high abrasion resistance and impact resistance. The material is also chemically inert against most acids, alkalis and high-temperature environments, with service capability up to 1500°C.

Modular liner panels support flexible installation via high-strength adhesive or rubber composite vulcanization, and only damaged tiles need replacement for maintenance.
