High-Performance Grooved Interlocking Wear-Resistant Alumina Ceramic Liner Bricks

Wear-resistant alumina ceramic liner bricks are a core protective solution specifically engineered for high-wear environments such as ball mills, stirred mills, pipelines, and chutes. Unlike traditional flat lining plates, our bricks feature a grooved interlocking profile that achieves a mechanically locked installation through precise tongue-and-groove joints. This design effectively eliminates straight-through gaps between bricks, preventing slurry and fine particles from eroding the equipment shell. More importantly, it distributes localized impact loads evenly to adjacent bricks, significantly enhancing the lining’s overall resistance to spalling and mechanical shock. Combined with high-strength adhesives, the grooved interlocking structure ensures the lining remains tightly bonded to the substrate even under high-speed rotation or severe vibration, delivering consistent and long-lasting protection.

Regarding material performance, our alumina ceramic liner bricks are manufactured from high-purity α-alumina powder through isostatic pressing and ultra-high-temperature sintering, with alumina content ranging from 92% to 99% and fully customizable to specific operating conditions. Taking the most widely adopted 95% alumina brick as an example, the typical properties are: bulk density ≥ 3.65 g/cm³, water absorption < 0.01%, Rockwell hardness HRA ≥ 86, compressive strength ≥ 2000 MPa, flexural strength ≥ 300 MPa, and fracture toughness > 3.5 MPa·m½. In standard wet abrasion tests, the mass loss is over 90% lower than that of conventional manganese steel, and the volumetric wear rate is generally below 0.02%. These figures are not theoretical limits but normalized inspection data from our strict quality control system, ensuring that every batch delivered consistently translates outstanding wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and impact toughness into lower downtime and higher equipment availability for our clients.

Today, our grooved interlocking wear-resistant alumina ceramic liner bricks have been widely adopted across mining, cement, power generation, ceramics, and fine chemical industries for various grinding and conveying equipment. Whether enduring the intense scouring of steel balls and slurry in an iron ore regrind mill, withstanding the continuous cutting of high-velocity powder at pneumatic conveying elbows, or resisting the corrosive wear of acidic slurries in thickener underflow pipelines, these interlocking bricks demonstrate a service life far exceeding that of conventional wear-resistant materials.
